I can hardly move......I'm not sure I can speak, but fortunately, I can lift a HuuuGe glass of gin and tonic to my mouth. Just.
I've been shovelling stinky dirt, facilitating (is that how you spell it because it's been a long time since school) ebay pick ups because I've been at it again and selling randoms so I can buy something really awesome. I will feature the really awesome thing here very soon I promise you......it's a promise I swear.
I'm attempting to create a garden around a section of the pool because to be quite honest (and I always am) it was toooooo exxy to do the whole lot. But I'm nothing if not creative and an oasis I will create if it cripples me. Today I think it might have done just that. I can hardly move. The last lady that collected furniture from me this arvo asked if I was ok to lift a piece of furniture that weighed little more than twigs and I had to admit I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it to her car. My muscles won't work. I could barely open the fancy umbrella you see in pic no. 2 (remember it from here). My neighbour was watching me in complete disbelief and I pinched the skin on my hands attempting it, because I really need more blisters right about now......
Here's my pretty little foxtail palm......one of several I hope to plant here......
And the brolly......well, I got there eventually. Can you believe I didn't even have the strength to open it??? I'm quite slight but much stronger than I look and still nothin'......and look at that frosty glass of gin with a splash of tonic......a girl's not a camel you know ;O)
What a lovely spot it's turning out to be......you can see my G & T......if you look carefullee......tehe!!!
I'm off to get dinner for the random kids I have here this evening. I have carefully unwrapped a Woolly Boogers lasagne because it's the thought that counts and because I'm a good Mum to whoever happens to land here at Scandi Coast Home. I will even heat it in the oven and sling some salad across the island bench. Because I'm nice like that ;O)

You poor thing, it will all be worth it when it's finished. xT
ReplyDeleteHey Tania. Love where you're going with this project! Foxtail palm - very pretty. Just an itty bitty friendly nudge that Foxtails can grow quite high, so give it room to spread its roots. Also, don't plant too close to pool's edge as they have a habit of dropping those tails into the drink...NOT (thankfully) of the G&T kind!! ;-) Handy tip from "expert" self: plant in groups of 3s or more (odd nos usually) for visual impact, but keep them well spaced apart to allow for growth and development.
