In between shovelling dirt and painting privacy screens I managed a little mini makeover on this vintage cane plant stand......
I'm adding it to the growing collection of plantings on the pool deck. It was a dirty looking pale blue and really grubby so I scrubbed it down and refreshed it with a coat of Appliance White Gloss Spray Paint for a nice bright beachy white......
I think I need to get busy again and plant it up with something tropical and hardy and idiot proof. Any suggestions???

Oooh I just got a nice leafy tropically sort of plant that's apparently quite hardy, but like the epic dumb-arse that I am, I pulled the tag out of the pot and chucked it without checking what the thing's called! Gorgeous plant stand too :)

Looks beautiful!! I'm no help in the plant department, nothing grows for me!
ReplyDeleteHi there, have you tried a Zanzibar plant? It's very hardly and likes the shade & only needs little water. Leisa Flanigan :)
ReplyDeletePutting some plants in your pool deck was a great idea. The area looks clean and comforting because of the white theme you have there, but the green plants made it even more relaxing. I have a suggestion though. Why not re-stain your wooden deck? You can really spot those scratches on the surface, so it’s time for you to make the surface shiny and polished once again. What do you think? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kylee......I'm a big fan of greenery.
DeleteThe restaining is definitely on the list of things to do.
The long list ;O)
